See you in Lucerne

In early December 2024, the European Film scene will turn its eyes to Lucerne, Switzerland. The world-famous city on Lake Lucerne will host the European Film Awards on December 7, 2024. The show will take place at the Lucerne Culture and Convention Centre, an architectural icon designed by French star architect Jean Nouvel.

A wide variety of program events featuring European and Swiss filmmakers will take place in the days leading up to the awards ceremony. The highlight will be the Mayor's Night at the Hotel Schweizerhof. A social-filmic get-together of the nominees for the awards with the film scene of Europe and Switzerland. The population benefits from a cinema offer with current filmmaking from Europe and Switzerland.

The events in Lucerne are organized by the European Film Academy in cooperation with the three Swiss partners Lucerne (city + canton), Federal Office of Culture and SRG SSR.
